Founded by Luisa Diaz in 2020, the Luisa Diaz Foundation (LDF) supports organizations and individuals who are making a direct impact in helping people and their communities through acts of kindness. Luisa Diaz, whose overarching theme is “Kindness is Cool” has been helping people and communities since her early days in North Carolina as the host of “Luisa Su Vos Latina” the first Spanish language talk show on the local ABC Network affiliate. Luisa provided important information to the growing Hispanic community regarding legal services, medical expertise as well as entertainment. She organized Food Drives and supported “Toys for Tots with donation drives and deliveries during the holiday season.
Over the last six years, Luisa developed and produced the “Mi Amor Gala” annual events in Los Angeles and most recently in New York. The events raised both money and awareness for “Safe Passage” in support of survivors of domestic violence and their families. Her work directly with the survivors in coaching them building their self esteem to walk the “Runway of Hope” an empowerment fashion show celebrating the women’s transition into their new life, inspired her to expand her work and create the Luisa Diaz Foundation.
The Luisa Diaz Foundation is a non-profit (501) C3 and will continue to support like-minded organizations that are having a direct impact on lifting up people and their communities. Luisa believes strongly that we can all help to create a snowball of kindness that will continue to grow and inspire, empower and provide hope and opportunities for people to not only change their lives but, to improve the world around them.
