The second annual Mi Amor Gala, hosted by television producer and host Luisa Diaz, will light up Hollywood with an international, philanthropic and well-heeled crowd. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit the Maria Suarez Foundation (MSF). The festive pre-Cinco de Mayo event will be held at Tinhorn Flats Saloon and Grill at 1724 N. Highland Avenue, Hollywood, California 90028 on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 7 am. Celebrity guests will grace the Red Carpet from 7:00-8:30 pm.
After becoming a victim of slavery herself in California, Maria Suarez has dedicated her life to end slavery in all its forms including coerced labor, sex slavery, or trafficking through education and empowerment. Maria Suarez says, “This event means so much to me and I’m very thankful for Luisa’s effort to help the Maria Suarez Foundation. MSF is founded to educate and bring awareness to human trafficking. Through knowledge and the help of others, we can stop it.”
Latina powerhouse Luisa Diaz states, “The Mi Amor Gala is a celebration of kindness. It stands for angels that empower other angels with broken wings through the gift of love. I am very excited to be able to celebrate amazing and kind people who rise above unfortunate circumstances to make a difference in someone else’s life. Maria Suarez will be honored with the Mi Amor Gala Award in recognition of what she has done for her community.”
