The MAG Gala (Mi Amor Graciousness Gala), hosted by the Luisa Diaz Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, is an annual charity event that celebrates and promotes kindness while honoring survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other forms of abuse. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the MAG Gala, to be held at the prestigious Cipriani 25 Broadway.

The highlight of the evening is the “Runway of Hope”, where survivors who have overcome immense challenges walk toward a brighter future, symbolizing their journey from darkness to light. Where fashion meets compassion, these courageous individuals share their inspiring stories of resilience and hope.

About Luisa Diaz

Luisa Diaz, founder of the Luisa Diaz Foundation, is the reigning Mrs. Universe, former Ms. Venezuela International, philanthropist, author, and former TV host committed to supporting survivors of abuse. Guided by her mantra, “Kindness is Cool,” Luisa has transformed the MAG Gala into a renowned event that raises awareness and empowers individuals and communities. Her dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including congressional recognition for helping survivors rebuild their lives and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives for her outstanding and invaluable service to the community.

Additionally, Luisa received a Citation from the City of New York during Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring her as an accomplished professional and philanthropist. In 2023, New York City declared May 18th as Kindness is Cool Day to celebrate her decade-long work through the foundation.

Jack Myers, A Lifetime Champion of Gender Equality and Inclusion

Jack Myers has been a steady, committed voice in the pursuit of gender equity and inclusion, dedicating his career to advancing the rights and opportunities of women across media, advertising, and entertainment. From his pioneering efforts with WomenAdvancing.org to his ongoing leadership in diversity education through MediaVillage, Jack has forged pathways for young talent, advocating for a workplace where women can thrive and lead with confidence.

Since 2009, the MediaVillage Education Foundation has been Jack’s vehicle for fostering belonging and equity within industries where women’s voices are often underrepresented. Through initiatives like AdvancingDiversity.org, a hub for inclusive storytelling, Jack has amplified women’s voices, celebrating their journeys and achievements. His vision extends through MediaVillage’s extensive podcast series and video interviews, spotlighting the contributions of women across media, advertising, marketing, and beyond.

In 2018, Jack founded the Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors to recognize those demonstrating the powerful impact of investing in diversity and inclusion, an idea also central to his influential book, The Future of Men. His TEDWomen Talk, with over a million views, captured the essence of his work: a call for reshaping gender norms and making equity a shared responsibility. Jack’s role as Chairman Emeritus of the International Radio and Television Society Foundation underscores a lifetime devoted to mentorship and creating a culture of belonging.

With enduring dedication, Jack has continued to mentor the next generation of leaders, most recently through the Emerging Leaders program at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School. His latest work, The Tao of Leadership,and the upcoming Unleashing Your Creative Power in the Age of AI, illustrate his commitment to balancing innovation with empathy and humanity.
