MAG GALA

The Luisa Diaz Foundation marked its 10th anniversary with a spectacular black-tie MAG gala at The Plaza Hotel, celebrating a decade of transformative work in communities across America.

This year’s event, aptly titled “A Celebration of Kindness,” focused on raising funds for Safe Passage Heals and Sanctuary for Families, two organizations dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.

The evening was a testament to the foundation’s motto, “Kindness is Cool,” and attracted influential changemakers from around the world.

In a touching moment, survivors presented Luisa Diaz with a proclamation from the New York State Senate, recognizing her remarkable efforts and declaring May 15th as “Luisa Diaz Day.”

Continuing the tradition of recognition, last year Mayor Eric Adams proclaimed May 18 as “Kindness is Cool Day” in NYC.

This year, the celebration extended with a Kindness is Cool festival in Central Park on May 18.

The gala featured an all-star lineup of presenters and performers dedicated to highlighting the critical issues of human trafficking and domestic violence.

The event began with a heartfelt introduction by special host Consuelo Vanderbilt.

The Runway of Hope show, a highlight of the evening, featured survivors as the focal point.

Three prestigious Kindness is Cool Awards were presented during the evening.

The Luisa Diaz Foundation’s gala not only celebrated a milestone anniversary but also reinforced the vital message that kindness has the power to change lives.
